Rooted in her heritage as a second-generation Japanese-American (Nisei) from Hawai‘i, Iris’ aesthetic is shaped by a unique blend of cultural influence and her career in New York City’s fashion world.

She launched By Saki in Seattle with a clear vision: to bring the Japanese principles of simplicity and intention into wardrobe styling, interior decorating, and home organization - always with a dash of modern playfulness.

Beyond her work, Iris is often on the mountain, at a concert, or on the water with her wife, Erin. She finds joy in balancing indulgence with working out, optimizing her spreadsheets, and curating her next travel adventure.
